This year, 40 bottled beer brands from 13 Czech breweries participated in the competition. The tasting took place anonymously at the end of 2025 and in early 2026, ensuring objective evaluation by an expert panel. According to brewmaster Ondřej Kiss, the awards confirm the brewery’s quality, especially in the non-alcoholic segment, which has been gaining popularity among consumers. The Krušovice 11 lager stands out for its balanced taste. PIVEX is one of the oldest and most prestigious beer competitions in the Czech Republic, held for the 34th time this year. It is traditionally guaranteed by the Výzkumný ústav pivovarský a sladařský. The Krušovice brewery dates back to the 16th century, when it was purchased by Emperor Rudolf II.. Since then, beer production has continued without interruption, and the brand regularly receives awards both domestically and internationally.
